ICYMI - our Michigan wedding venue now includes a free wedding website for every couple. It’s customizable and because it’s through The Felt Estate and not a major national website, it’s more private.

The wedding website is just one feature, the wedding dashboard also has wedding guest and RSVP management. It helps create your guest list, collect RSVPs, and you can email guests right from the dashboard.

When it comes time to figure out seating assignments, you can easily drag and drop names into a floor plan and export to share with your wedding vendors.

Why does availability disappear faster than couples expect?

The Felt Estate is a seasonal Michigan wedding venue, which means weddings happen May through October. That window is already shorter than most people picture when they start planning. Within that window, some dates are held for non-profit programming: historic tours, preservation events, things that are central to who we are as a historic estate wedding venue. Those dates don’t shift for weddings, so the calendar is a little more limited than it might appear from the outside.

The newly engaged couples who find their way to us also tend to be navigating a lot of life at once: finishing graduate degrees, settling into new careers, and moving across country as well as planning a wedding that includes coordinating wedding travel for families coming in from Chicago, Detroit, and beyond. Longer engagements aren’t unusual here, they’re actually the norm.

Saturday morning begins quietly with a light breakfast in the mansion, a slow hour before the day takes over. By late afternoon, you’re walking down the aisle. The reception carries the night, and when it’s over, you don’t have to go anywhere. Sunday morning, you wake up at The Felt Estate one last time.
