A little history behind The Inn at Barley Sheaf Farm. 🤍

The Manor dates back to 1740, and the estate later became connected to playwright George S. Kaufman. Today, those historic rooms, gardens, fields, and old stone buildings are still part of what makes spending a wedding weekend here feel so distinctive.

We’re big fans of pattern at Barley Sheaf, and this Inn gives you plenty to notice.

The wallpaper, antique chairs, layered fabrics, carved wood, stained glass, and even the ceiling details all add to the character of the house. Some pieces feel collected, some feel restored, and together they give each room its own personality without losing the history of the property.

It’s one of our favorite things about getting ready and celebrating here. The design is already doing a lot of the work for you.

Barley Sheaf can feel a little magical if you give yourself a few seconds to notice it.

It’s in the way the light hits the old stone, the gardens open up around the property, the trees frame a quiet corner, or one of those little historic details catches your eye when you weren’t looking for it.

You can keep things tucked inside the Stone Bank Barn, head out into the fields, settle beneath the oak trees, or let the Double Trees frame the aisle.

Each spot gives the day a completely different feel, and we’re always happy to help you figure out which one feels most like you.

And if the weather has other plans, the Barn is already here as a beautiful indoor ceremony option.

The Manor House may be the first thing you notice when you arrive, but it is only the beginning of the property.

A wedding at Barley Sheaf can move through gardens, countryside, accommodations and different gathering spaces throughout the estate.

That gives every part of the day its own setting without asking guests to travel somewhere new between each one.

Getting ready feels different from portraits. Portraits feel different from cocktail hour. Dinner gets its own atmosphere.

One of the nicest parts of a wedding weekend is getting more than a few hours with the people who came to celebrate you.

At Barley Sheaf, guests can stay throughout the estate, which means some of the best parts can happen outside the official timeline.

Getting ready in the morning. Seeing family around the property before the ceremony. Heading back to your room after the reception instead of immediately leaving. Gathering again the next morning.
