Public Safety Announcement: Roadside Parking Along Margaret Terrance Memorial Way

The Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Council is implementing a new parking safety rule to protect our youth, our visitors, and nearby personal property. Parking along Margaret Terrance Memorial Way in the North and Southbound roadsides, from Route 37 to McGee Road, is no longer permitted. This change is necessary to prevent children from playing near active traffic and to reduce the risk of damage to vehicles and private property.

This rule will be strictly enforced at all times in coordination with Park Staff, SRMT Security, and the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Police.

Organizations using the main lacrosse field will be asked to assist with enforcing this rule by notifying their participants that effective immediately, any vehicle parked along the fence will be required to move their vehicle and failure to do so will result in a parking ticket.

Plenty of designated free parking is available in our various parking lots throughout Margaret Terrance Memorial Way and all visitors are expected to use these areas when attending events or recreational activities.

The Parks & Recreation Program appreciates the community’s cooperation as we continue prioritizing public safety, youth protection, and respect for surrounding property.

The SRMT Environment Division and Generations Park are excited to offer a Community Firewood Giveaway on June 18 starting at 12 p.m.!

Firewood will be available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. We hope to see you there! 🪵

All vendors that sent in an application are accepted. Set up is at 9am.

The trail is absolutely beautiful. Its a perfect setting for a Valentines Day date. We'll provide the snowshoes and charcuterie for two 🩷🩷.
