The 2026 Hobart Festival of Women Writers gets underway on Friday, June 5, with a full day of workshops, readings, and creative inspiration in the Book Village of Hobart.

The day begins with Esther Cohen's intensive workshop, *Good Stories*, while festival attendees can also choose from workshops exploring food imagery in poetry, using painting and sculpture to inspire writing, and the essential building blocks of creating memorable scenes.

At 2:30 PM, join us under the tent for the Opening Reading featuring Jennifer Bartell Boykin, Christina Chiu, Ellen Meeropol, and Jo Salas. The evening concludes with a special public reading by 15 festival registrants at the Stamford Library.

Whether you're an experienced writer, an avid reader, or simply curious about the creative process, Friday offers the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in a community of storytellers.
