Becoming the East can feel intimidating when you’re first learning mahjong — we remember feeling that way too. 🀄️

But once you break it down, it’s really not as scary as it seems.

The East:
• pushes out the first wall
• draws first
• starts with 14 tiles
• makes the first discard after the Charleston to begin

A packed house, the prettiest mahj setup, incredible food, mahjong decor and a whole lot of laughter 🀄️✨

Mahjong 101 at Jessica’s home in Duxbury was such a special night. Every woman walked through the door because they knew Jessica — but not everyone knew each other. In the sweetest touch, Jessica even made seating arrangements to mix guests together, and by the end of the night the tables were full of conversation, cheering, and new friendships formed over mahjong tiles.

This is exactly why we love home parties so much. It’s not just about learning mahjong… it’s about creating a reason to gather.
