My name is Jessica, and I am the owner and operator of Buck Ridge Barns in Hinesburg, Vermont. I have worked full-time at a local hospital for nearly 17 years as my main job, while also running my own baking business—something I went to school for and have been passionate about for many years.
When a piece of land/old farm came up for sale just a mile down the road from where I grew up, it felt like fate. I had dreamed since I was a teenager of creating an integrated agricultural facility—one that would bring together farming, community events, weddings, and so many other dreams I held close.
Four years ago, that dream began to take shape. When the original barn on the property collapsed, I had a choice: let the dream fade, or take the leap. I chose to leap. We rebuilt using as much of the original barn materials as possible, honoring its history while creating something entirely new.
Today, that dream is Buck Ridge. And I am proud to say I am its owner and operator.
