Justice Florist. A little history….

Justice has been a family name in Hilton, NY since 1912. Owners Willet and Bea Justice. Raising their family on Manitou Road. Willet having his hand in many business ideas. Plants, flowers and wholesale, while Bea raised the kids. I know they enjoyed life. Bea living to be 100. Something to be said about flowers

They sold the business to Peter and Robin Wallace in the 80’s. They too raised their family on Manitou Road. Opening a few location’s on Lyell Ave and Hudson Ave. Now enjoying being grandparents and continue their love in gardening.

Now located on Parma Corners Rd. I think the small town florist has seen and done it all. Owner now Martha Linder- Morin. Here we are 20 years. Getting through a pandemic, so many peaks and valleys . Not to mention, a few life changes..
Did I think we’d still be here…?
There were moments..
My thanks today goes out to the Justice and Wallace family, for making us what we are today. A family name to be proud of.
Justice Flowers…. Where I’d like to say.. ā€œ Be the reason someone smilesā€

Today is my day, so a little bio and introduction. My name is Martha Linder- Morin. I was born and raised in Caledonia NY. A farmer’s daughter, the oldest of three.
A graduate of Caledonia Mumford. Becoming a florist wasn’t the plan in high school. I had visited a couple vocational programs . One being Printing and Photography. But I had missed the bus back to school. I think a guidance counselor had me visit the agricultural wing, and sitting in on Floriculture. This was a fit. Something sparked my interest. I applied at 3 agricultural colleges. Finding myself after a couple of visits at SUNY Cobleskill. There I received my associates degree and award for outstanding Senior in my field.
Later, my college advisor had approached me at graduation with a phone number. A florist in Rochester is looking for help.
Justice Florist… I began working part time , working my way up to full time. Made many friends and learned a lot along the way. Working at the Hilton and Hudson Ave location for 12 years. Teaching a farm girl about the city.. there’s some stories. One I can now laugh about, my car broke down and my Dad didn’t know how to find me. If I remember right, he sent one of the hired guys out.
I also learned about the history of the Polish neighborhood and becoming fast friends with our neighbors at Andy’s Candies.
Fast forward, an opportunity to become the new owner is now on the table. With two littles in tow, my journey began. Transitioning into an owner with still a lot to learn. . 20 years!, WOW! Did I think I’d be here ? No not really. I’ve learned a lot! The peaks and valleys and a few life changing events.. somehow.. we’re here! Team Justice, friends, family and customers… you’ve been my rock. Thank you. This industry has seen many challenges and changes. I’m doing my all to see it succeed.
My Dad had a saying.. ā€œMay the bird of paradise fly up your assā€.. I know now those aren’t the correct words, but I’m flying or at least trying to.
Free time is spent with family and friends. My love for the outdoors and gardening continues. Maybe all of this began on the farm, picking flowers in the cow pasture. Or hanging out by a crick I knew we weren’t supposed to be in.
I have also found a family in the Caledonia Fire Department. For all of this I am grateful. I appreciate all the love and support. I can’t thank everyone enough. Cheers to many more!

Today’s introduction…. Karen Pryzybien

Karen came to us by fate.
After closing her shop, she still wanted to arrange.
A graduate of Alfred, she has many years experience. She is a listener, gardener, all hands on deck person
She is the voice you sometimes hear when placing an order or have a question.
When time is of the essence, she sometimes feeds us with snacks or a quick meal. She is a shoulder to cry on and super thoughtful person.
She has given us a few pointers on arrangements and gardening and weā€re happy to have her on the team. Part time or full time, happy you’re here!

Today let’s introduce Sherry White.
Sherry is a person of many talents. First a seamstress, doing custom and prom dress alterations. I think she has helped us all. You can find her at Seams Right on facebook.
Filling in as a driver, then customer service. She is the voice you hear at holidays and pitching ideas for different events.
Knowing that Sherry is only a phone call away, is a blessing. We are happy to welcome her as a Team Justice member and gardening partner.

Today let’s introduce Madeline Hemstreet.
Madi , to us. Now beginning her senior year at Northstar, Weā€ve enjoyed watching her grow.
Learning the ropes I’m sure hasn’t been easy, but happy you’re a team mate.
Helping set up weddings, customers service and slowly learning design and flower names.
She’s not afraid to try new things, that’s what we love about her. Reminds me a little bit of myself.
Can’t wait to see where the next road takes you and as always, happy to have you on Team Justice

Today let’s introduce Katie Bush
To me you will always be Katie A..
I’ve enjoyed being on the sidelines watching Kate grow into the beautiful person she is today.
Kate not only helps at holiday times, but fills in with her amazing artwork and computer skills. She does most of our holiday advertising and design.
It may only be a few times a year. But we appreciate you more than you know.
Happy to have you on the team.

Today let’s introduce Nikki Wissinger.
Nikki has also been a Team Justice member for a long time.
Starting at Hall Florist before coming to Justice. She will always make you smile. Now working some evenings, weekends and holidays at the shop, she is our humor that keeps us going or helps feed us at holidays.
Nikki is also the shop secretary. Helping with paperwork and keeping notes. She is the voice behind some orders, and happy to call her friend.
