Last week, we had the honor of being part of this beautiful couple’s wedding day. Their ceremony was absolutely stunning — held on the beach in Palmetto Dunes, with the ocean as their backdrop.
One of the most moving moments of the evening was the Lazo (Lasso) ceremony woven into their vows. The lazo de boda is a traditional unity ritual with deep roots in Hispanic, Filipino, and Catholic cultures, symbolizing an eternal bond and the joining of two lives into one before God. Watching Mari and Oscar’s mothers lovingly place the rope around their children was nothing short of breathtaking. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the crowd. ❤️
It is such a gift to witness moments like these; where culture, faith, and family come together in the most tender and meaningful way.
