It’s been a long winter. Time to get outside and play.

This spring at Taconic Ridge Farm:

Explore the fields and forests with Ben Nickley and learn about the resident and migratory birds around us. Check out the property’s bluebird and kestrel boxes while learning bird ID and gaining a deeper connection to the natural world through birdwatching. Be sure to ask Ben about visiting his station in Egremont, MA nearby to see birds in the actual hand! Sun, May 31, 1-3:30pm

Join herbalist and bee guardian Sha-Na Dahl for an afternoon of bees, herbs, honey, and slowing down enough to actually listen. Lemon balm tea included, naturally. Sat, May 30, 1-3pm

Wander the woods with mycologist Luke Sarrantonio and discover the strange, brilliant world of fungi - plus learn how to grow mushrooms right in your own backyard. Sat, May 30, 10-12:30am

Three workshops led by people who truly know their craft and care deeply about sharing it. A good excuse to put your phone down and spend a few hours learning from the natural world instead. Come to one or come to all! See you there.

Join Copake-based artist Mayuko Fujino–whose work draws from traditional Japanese design and clients like the National Audubon Society–for a hands-on, beginner-friendly stencil workshop.
You’ll design from natural shapes, experiment with pigment (including invasive plants & rocks from Hudson Valley 💯) and leave with your own finished piece. All materials provided.
