A big shout out to this rock star- thank you so much Sam S. 🌈 Loudoun County Family Photographer for finding time in your busy schedule to brain storm, connect, chat, relax, noodle through ideas, encourage with me this morning.

I have big ideas and dreams for Short Hill Springs and one of those is to be or become your favorite place to create your art. Part of that is being curious, inquisitive, and open to hearing what photographers and their clients want/need/enjoy. I have been so supported and uplifted by so many of you along the way who believe in and love what we are doing over here and Sam let me ramble through my thoughts today in a way that helped me make them make more sense inside and outside of my own head.

Big announcement coming soon and I have the confidence to make because of Sam and all the photographers who have been so lovely to work with and such cheerleaders for another small business, another woman, another dream.

Morning harvest for photography bucket o'blooms, the butterflies dancing through the rows. You can add a bucket o'blooms or a hand tied bouquet to your session here on the farm and I'll harvest it fresh for you and have it waiting at your start time...and you can also order them for your sessions at other locations! I have pickup in Hillsboro or Purcellville!

August golden hours in the wildflowers are 1/3 booked! Still lost of great dates open, but 7 of the 10 sessions have been booked in the last 48 hours, so they are starting to go quick. We were just shy of 100% booked for golden hour by the end of August last year. Mornings and afternoons have lots of availability and very pretty dappled light, especially the swing, but if you want golden hour in the wildflowers...don't sleep on those reservations!

You can book your sessions directly on our website this year! www.shorthillsprings.com/booking is linked in our profile and in addition to being able to see the whole calendar at once, has the added benefits of not waiting for me to reserve your time AND easily adding cut flowers to your session!

ps- this is why we require tours and waivers for creek sessions- because toes look at lot like fishes to snapping turtles!
