People wonder why wedding flowers are so expensive.

One of the reasons is that the flowers themselves are at an all time high. Its the world market, the crazy global economy, fuel prices, South American farms deciding to pay their laborers a better wage, so many things. And if you buy from US farms, the prices are automatically higher because laborers in America demand a better wage.

Then there is the florists time and experience. I already have at least 4 full days of work into this event. Consulting, planning, purchasing, processing, designing, clean up, transportation, set up and breakdown.

When you hire a florist, you are paying for all of these skills and the labor as well as the flowers themselves.

So take a minute and look through the process of my day today. And this was just the arch! I spent a full day yesterday on bouquets and sorting organizing flowers.

You pay a good florist for her experience, knowledge, design skills, studio space, business expertise, and SO much more ❤

Yes, absolutely, DIY or Costo can be cheaper. But true floral art by an experienced florist is a beautiful gift you can give to yourself or a loved one on their special day.

It is absolutely my joy, privilege and passion to create for you!
