You may notice this is our combined May & June newsletter.

No, you didn’t miss the June edition.

And no, we haven’t forgotten how calendars work. 😄

The truth is, The Olde Wicks Factory has been running at full speed these past two months. Between weddings, events, tours, community gatherings, and a few exciting projects behind the scenes, we’ve been so busy making memories that we fell a little behind on telling you about them!

We decided instead of rushing out two separate newsletters, we’d combine them into one big update filled with all the things we’ve been celebrating lately.

Huge thanks to Stl Bride for the awesome St. Louis Cardinals box seats today! Nothing beats a girls’ hooky day at the ballpark. We laughed, relaxed, cheered on the Cards… and somehow still managed to sneak in a little business brainstorming between innings. Sometimes the best ideas happen outside the office! ⚾️

This gorgeous spring wedding was the official kickoff to our busy wedding season, and what a way to start!

Jennifer and Brad’s love story is such a sweet reminder that timing really is everything. They met years ago, dated, lost touch, and eventually found their way back to each other — making the phrase “it was always you” absolutely perfect for them. 🫶

And because no wedding day is complete without a little behind-the-scenes excitement… exactly 15 minutes before the ceremony, Brad ripped his pants. 😅 Thankfully, Owner Jennifer had a sewing machine on hand and saved the day before the bride ever knew! Running a venue means seeing something new every single weekend.

We also loved their individual cakes — such a fun and unique touch! 🍰

People often ask what makes someone a “Preferred Vendor” at The Olde Wicks Factory. The answer is simple: they’re vendors who consistently exceed expectations for the couples, families, and event hosts who celebrate with us.

The Food Dude Restaurant & Catering is a perfect example. Not only is Patrick a talented chef whose dishes each have their own distinct flavors, but he also takes tremendous pride in presentation. His buffet tables are thoughtfully decorated and beautifully displayed, making them feel like part of the event décor rather than simply a place to grab dinner.

We love working with vendors who care as much about the guest experience as we do, and Patrick and his team continue to impress us event after event. 🤍

A special shoutout as well to the groom’s parents—and our friends—Mike & Kim, who are foodies and wine lovers in their own right. They added such a unique touch to the evening by sharing the story behind each wine pairing throughout the meal, making the dining experience even more memorable for their guests. 🍷

From the delicious homemade Italian dessert spread made by family, to the stunning handmade gift box crafted by Cheyenne’s uncle, the love in the room was unmatched. Join us indoors across three venue halls featuring:
•90 Unique Vendors to shop from
•Delicious Food Trucks on-site
•Live Entertainment all day
•4 Specialty Bars serving up festive Fall drinks

🎟️ Tickets: $4 at the door (50% of all ticket sales go directly to Eden’s Glory!)
👶 Kids: 10 & under are FREE

What an incredible evening at The Olde Wicks Factory for May’s Highland, IL Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours! We were honored to welcome such a fantastic crowd for a night filled with networking, laughs, specialty drinks, great food, and nonstop fun.

Guests made their way through several of our venue halls during the Poker Run, enjoyed some amazing interactive photo opportunities from PhotoHub and Photograghy Studio, and wrapped up the evening with an unforgettable performance by The Yacht Rockers that kept the party going all night long! 🎶☀️🍹

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who attended, participated, and helped make the night such a success. We especially appreciate the Highland Chamber of Commerce for allowing us to host this wonderful event, and we were proud to donate the Poker Run proceeds back to the Chamber.

There were so many great moments throughout the evening, we just had to share some photos! 📸
