We joined a local fundraiser supporting the people working to grow and provide fresh food for those experiencing food scarcity in our community.

We believe food has the power to bring people together and we’re grateful for the opportunity to use what we do to support others who are making sure more people have access to good, fresh food.

Our final market night of the season was yesterday and it was the perfect way to wrap up what has been an incredible summer in Milford.

You brought your friends, your families, your Italian spirit - and made “Pizza in the Piazza” something so much bigger than we imagined.

To everyone who waited in line, came back week after week, wore their Italy shirts & hats, introduced us to friends, and made us feel so welcome:

🔥 HOUR Detroit Grillfest 2026 Best Bite Competition was a milestone moment! We were honored to be part of HOUR Detroit’s Best Bite Competition at GrillFest - and to bring something a little different to the competition.

While the other competitors were firing up their BBQs, we brought our custom Valoriani wood fired oven to Eastern Market and put it to work.

We served 600+ slices of handcrafted artisan pizza alongside thousands of conversations, smiles, and new connections.

Being there among some of the restaurants and chefs in SE Michigan we’ve admired for years was a pretty incredible moment for us. ❤️

Chef Pino even had the opportunity to be interviewed by the HOUR Detroit Magazine editor-in-chief, and throughout the day met so many incredible people who took genuine interest in what we create - including Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson who was there supporting all the businesses involved.

We are proud of what we accomplished and left having learned a lot, met some amazing people, and had an absolute blast doing what we love.

A huge GRAZIE MILLE to HOUR Detroit for allowing us to be a part of the Best Bite Competiton and for being such a fantastic partner.

And thank you to the City of Detroit and Eastern Market for creating the perfect setting for an incredible day of food, community, and friendly competition.

When Fred is our guest, chances are, he’s wearing an Italy shirt. 🇮🇹 (It’s definitely become “a thing”. And can we just say how much we LOVE that!?! 💚🤍❤️)

Fred shows up not just for the pizza and gelato, but because it’s obvious he genuinely loves what Italy represents: the food, the culture, the hospitality, the passion, and the joy of bringing people together. We love seeing his face in the crowd!

✨ 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 𝗽𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗮.✨

Last night, as the Birmingham Concert in the Park was winding down, we were down to our final few pizzas. I stepped out and let everyone waiting in line know we were getting close to selling out for the night.

A few moments later, a couple of teenage boys walked up to our window and asked, "How many pizzas do you have left?"

"Just one," I replied.

They looked behind them at a dad and his young son waiting in line. Without hesitation, they smiled and said to him, "You can have it." Instead, they decided they'd just grab a couple of Cokes.

The dad stepped forward, thanked them, and then quietly told us, "Put their drinks on my tab."

Two small acts of kindness between strangers, choosing generosity.

✨We love having front row seats to moments like these that spread kindness to our community. ❤️ 🫶✨
