𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗖𝗔𝗣𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗘: 𝟭𝟱-𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗴𝗼 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁

Fifteen years ago tonight, the doors to the original Pizzeria B**a at Northwestern Hwy. and Franklin Rd. opened - and what a night it was!

The space, once the famous Italian hot spot Il Posto (translation: “The Place” - do you remember it??), had been completely transformed. The energy was electric, the room was packed, and the air was full of anticipation (and the smell of wood fired pizza!). I was proud to be working alongside some of the best in the business, helping bring a bold new culinary vision to life.

That night, the soul of Italian cuisine came alive - and I’ll never forget the flavors, the people, and the passion that made it all possible. After having only been in the US for about 1 year at the time, I finally felt closer to home than ever.

As I prep for an event today, I think back to that evening and strive to bring this same feeling every time I am in front of my wood burning oven tossing dough…crafting authentic Italian pizza and bringing it to all of you in Metro Detroit!

Here’s to the memories, and to the moments that shape our journey. Thank you for following mine. Grazie & Buon Appetito!🔥🍕🇮🇹❤️

I am not Sicilian, but I love a good connolo! This is a classic Sicilian pastry, typically consisting of a crispy shell filled with sweet ricotta cream. Enjoy every bite! 🇮🇹💚🤍❤️
