✨ Good Day Venue just keeps getting better! ✨

We’ve continued making updates since our Open House, and we’re loving how everything is coming together!

New lighting, brand-new ceiling fans throughout, a new TV, and our kitchen is nearing completion with a three-compartment commercial sink, double oven, stove/oven combination, refrigerator, and plenty of countertop and serving space.

We also have seating for 84 guests, with lots of flexibility for different table and seating arrangements — and a total building capacity of over 100!

Good Day Venue is hosting a Young Entrepreneurs Market — a Kids-Only Craft & Vendor Fair! 💛

On Friday, November 20 from 5–7 PM, young entrepreneurs under 18 will have the chance to set up shop and sell something THEY created!

Does your child make bracelets, bake treats, create art, sew, crochet, grow, build, design—or have a little business of their own? We want them!

🎄 We’re kicking off Higginsville’s Holiday Shopping Weekend, with other businesses open Friday evening and even more vendors and shopping on Saturday!

Yesterday was a pretty special day at Good Day Venue — we got to celebrate the birthdays of all THREE of my girls! 🥳

It was our first official party after the Open House, and it was everything I hoped this space would be. Plenty of room for our family and friends to gather, spread out, visit, eat, play, and simply enjoy being together.

And after several years of hosting their birthday parties in our non-air-conditioned shop… I think we all especially appreciated the air conditioning. 😂

And if you see something you like, chances are it's available to rent! We're still working on getting our entire rental collection added to the website, but we have tablecloths, runners, centerpieces, arched photo backdrops, beverage dispensers, serving platters, ice buckets, décor and so much more.

I don’t even know where to start. 💛

Last night was our Open House, and I’m still taking it all in.

I am so incredibly thankful for the family and friends who helped us get everything ready, for those who traveled both long and short distances to be there, and especially for our community for showing up and supporting this new business of mine. I truly have the very best people surrounding me.

And, as my mom reminded me yesterday, we have a pretty special guardian angel watching over us, too. ☀️

This community has supported me my entire life. I’ve watched people here show up again and again for one another, and Good Day Venue is one small way I hope to give some of that back—to invest in our downtown, support our community, and create another place where people can gather, celebrate, and connect.

There is so much good happening in our community, and I’m just really grateful to get to be a small part of it.

I’ll share more pictures of the space soon, but for now, here are just a few we snapped last night. 💛

☀️ Two days to go! ☀️

I’m getting so excited to finally open the doors to Good Day Venue! I truly could not have pulled this off without my husband, our family, and our extended family who have pitched in—not just this week, but throughout this whole process. My husband has probably asked me “What’s next on my list?” a hundred times. 😂

We’re almost ready, and I’m so thankful for everyone who has helped turn this idea into a reality. I cannot wait to welcome our community into its newest gathering space and finally show you Good Day Venue!

Small-town kindness at its best. 💛

Amy from Moose Market saw me struggling to paint Saturday, went back to the store, grabbed a much sturdier ladder, and insisted I keep it until we’re done painting.

Thank you, Amy! 🫎 Just another reason I love our little town. Good people make for good days.
