R&B was at it again last night.. helping with a wedding in Matthews at Colnel Francis Beatty Park- I bartended while Sheryl, Aiden, Cynthia & Greg helped the caterer by helping set up the appetizers, serving plated meals, clearing tables, and making sure everyone had water and drinks, as it was VERY hot!!! We also helped pack everything away at the end of the night. It all went amazing, and we received such wonderful praise from the guests, caterers, and the lovely new couple- such a great team and a great event!!!

I helped some new clients last night with their rehearsal dinner at the Mill at Rock Creek in Boone - not our first time at this venue… it’s so beautiful!! There were roughly 80 people there… and along with bartending I made sure the buffet stayed stocked and presentable, cleared tables and emptied all the trash- I also chilled the beer and wine for the bartenders today!!! It was a lovely evening and I had a blast- thanks so much Maggie for the call! And congrats to you and Chase !

While I was helping with the bday party last week, Greg bartended another bday party in our new clients backyard…. It went amazing and Greg did a fantastic job!!! Furthermore, this last weekend on Friday Greg and Cynthia bartended a wedding at the Ivory Barn in Huntersville- we’ve been at this venue many times… and Greg bartended a baby’s 1st bday party at Redbarn Events in Waxhaw on Saturday!!!! It’s amazing to have such a great team working with us and keeping our clients happy!!!! Thanks so much for the hard work and dedication Cynthia & Greg!!! Great job (s) !!!!

Today I helped our clients with a surprise 90th bday party in Charlotte… at a beautiful 55+ community home- I basically helped set up the food, made some drinks, kept everything clean and just made sure everything flowed …. Last night I helped some new clients with their rehearsal dinner at the White Crow wedding venue in Banner Elk- we’ve been here a few times already, and it’s good to know the lay of the land!! Now… this particular couple had already been married… but their special day was during the storms last year, so Saturday is their making up for that… it was a very small and close group….and I definitely made some new friends!! Thanks Dawn for the call.. and congrats to Courtney and Nick!!!

R&B helped a new client with her sisters reception in Morganton, at the Zach Carswell memorial Bethlehem Baptist Picnic Shed- (quite a mouthful!!!🤣) a very quaint little venue that was done up beautifully—- Beth and I set up the buffet station, drink station, laid out plates and silverware.. and catered the event drop off style— which is fairly new for us!!! But everything went superbly- and we received wonderful feedback about the service and the food!!!! Another home run!!! Thanks Caroline for the call… and congrats!!!! ♥️♥️

Outstanding!!! R&B took a major stress out of wedding planning and exceeded our expectations from start to finish.
Communication was easy and pleasant. We told them what we wanted and they took it from there. We didn't have to worry about a thing from the napkins and dinnerware to the food and drinks. Reception guests were served an Italian feast that numerous guests deemed as "the best food they'd ever eaten at a wedding." Their set-up was well thought out, creative and beautiful! I can't wait for another opportunity to work with them again!

R&B helped our clients in Charlotte yesterday with their baby shower… bartending for about 100 guests. There were 2 bars, 1 outside and 1 inside- Michael running inside and me out. It was a wonderful day, and everything went great… we made some specialty drinks- sangria and Gin Ricky’s… and kept everything moving along — the caterers were amazing… making delicious appetizers and Piaya… which everyone loved!!! Thanks for the help Michael- great job And thank you Matt for the continued use of R&B!!!

We had Hailey and Cynthia help out our good friends at Savory Kitchen with a wedding in Dallas NC this past Friday- it was a beautiful venue with some pretty awesome gardens on location!! We received much praise for their hard work… and are so happy to be able to have a team so wonderful and hard working!!! Great job ladies!! And thanks for the continued use of R&B Derek… glad we were able to help again!!

Well… I helped a new client with their wedding reception tonight— not bartending …or serving or catering… but basically coordinating everything- I set up all the tables and decorations…led people to their seats, set out the dessert, welcome and snacks table, and basically made sure everything went as it should- it was a great evening!!! I finished off this crazy weekend helping a new client by bartending his daughter’s Half Saree ceremony in Concord It was a truly wonderful event… and I made a lot of cocktails and mocktails!! I also helped clean the room when I could and emptied the garbages… all the while making sure everyone was taken care of at the bar. Everything went great and I made some new friends!! Ok All… I know I usually post pretty simple drink recipes… however today’s suggestion is a little detailed and time consuming— however its called the Baby Girl and is in celebration of our new granddaughter Stevie!!!

You will need:

A blender/ smoothie maker.
6 glasses worth of crushed ice.
6 slices of lime to garnish
6 pretty straws… (optional, they can actually be as plain as you like)
a little Demerara sugar for garnish
for the lime section

150ml (or 6 shots) of white rum
150ml of lime juice
100ml hot water
6tbs demorara sugar
400 ml cloudy lemonade
a couple of tsp of green food colouring (optional but makes the colours in the drink stand out better)
For The Raspberry Section

150ml (or 6 shots) of coconut rum
200g frozen raspberries
400ml Cloudy Lemonade


Method

1.Begin by refrigerating your glasses, so they are nice and cold and don’t melt your crushed ice when you add it later.

2.Make the lime section of the drink by mixing together the 100ml hot water and Demerara and stirring until dissolved. Use the blender to thoroughly mix the rest of the lime ingredients together- don’t use a cocktail shaker otherwise the lemonade might spill over. Pop the drink into a separate container (preferably a pitcher)- eventually the foamy head will disappear and you’ll be left with a nice clear, green liquid.

It’s nearly party time…
3. Now make the raspberry section by blending together the raspberry ingredients. Again, be careful not to let the lemonade fizz over. Either allow the seeds to settle and carefuly pour the drink into another container (being careful not to let any of the seeds find their way into the new pitcher) or simply pour it through a sieve to remove these nasty bits.

4. When you’re ready to drink wipe a little lime around the edges of your glass, and dip the edge in Demerara sugar to give your glass a sparkly edge.

5.Fill your glasses with crushed ice and half fill with lime mix. Then, slowly pour in the raspberry mix onto the ice. Pouring slowly should help to stop the colours mixing too much.

6. If it has worked, you should have a glowing hint of bright green at the bottom of your pink drink- it should taste a little bit sweet, a little sour and very tropical and fruity. Add your slice of lime and straw, and enjoy!!!
