It’s hard to believe in less than a month we could get our first frost and lose all these beauties! Cooler temps are in the forecast this coming week, which we are over the moon excited about!! 🙌🏼 We would love for you to consider adding a trip to the upick to your fall activities!

What other things are fun to do within 5-10min of the farm? We have Black Bear Coffee in Fletcher, the Hooper’s Creek W**e Market right beside it (with an incredible assortment of organic and biodynamic wines) numerous Edneyville Apple Orchards (Grandads, Stepps, Justus, J&M to name a few!), Stone Ashe Vineyards (the other side of our mountain!) and Souther Williams Vineyards, just a couple miles away. 💐

Introducing the new Welcome Shed at Singing Flower Farm u-pick! Our dear friends, the Gonzalez family, helped us put up the shell and roof. My husband, Michael, attached the siding. Lumber is from our local Sunrise Sawmill. It was Michael’s idea to add the lovely herringbone pattern on two sides. 💕

We are so excited to have the u-pick open again! 1 Maynard’s Way Hendersonville, NC 28792. Open Dawn till dusk, daily, until frost! We will have SO many dahlias this year! As they are still coming in we will have the bouquet bar up in the welcome shed (yes, we have a welcome shed this year!) with lovely dahlia selections (from Eva’s secret garden where she grows for florists), to add into your cups and buckets!

Come celebrate this miracle that we were able to open after some incredible health challenges this past spring. We can’t thank our family, friends, and church enough for rallying around us during some of the darkest hours of our lives. We hope you will celebrate with us, as we seek to redeem this summer and fall with joy and beauty!💐

Hope everyone had a great 4th. Good news, we will be announcing an opening date for the U-pick in the next two weeks, stay tuned we are getting close!
2-3 We received some signage! My dad will be crafting a wooden sign post for this to hang from. We also finally have a street sign for Maynard’s Way, the road the U-pick is on.
4/ we wood chipped the new perrenial row our friends helped us put in last month. All these perrenials will be huge in years to come, helping to frame/enclose in the U-pick. We have so many ideas to make it a truly special place. Little by little we will get there!
5/ dahlias are starting to appear in my florist’s garden and at the u-pick. This picture and the first one are some of our Floret dahlia seeds, they have been some of the first dahlias to open, and I just love them! Each so unique and beautifully whimsical. I meant to get more pics, but will show them off more in the future.
Making some good progress on a website, we hope to have that up sometime this month. 🤞
