Hushpuppies Catering & Seafood Market

10/11/2026

LET’S CLEAR UP A LITTLE CONFUSION ABOUT HUSHPUPPIES! 🤎🐟

First and foremost, YES, THE RESTAURANT IS STILL COMING BACK! 😂We know everyone is ready for those doors to open, and trust me, so are we.

📍 Hushpuppies Catering & Seafood Market is NOW OPEN at 503 ½ US Highway 79 in Henderson! This location is our meat and seafood market, where you can purchase fresh seafood, meats, lunch meats, cheeses, local beef, and more. We also offer catering and operate our food trailer!

And here’s something we really want to emphasize: the meat and seafood market isn’t just something we’re doing while waiting on the restaurant. It’s an entirely new addition to our community! We’re excited to bring Henderson another option for purchasing quality seafood, meats, and specialty products locally. Whether you’re planning a family dinner, a backyard fish fry, or looking for something specific, we want to be your go-to place! If we don’t have what you’re looking for, ask us about ordering it!

📍 The Hushpuppies Restaurant will be located on Highway 259, near Crossroads Clinic in Henderson! This is a completely separate location from our market.

As for the restaurant, we’re still waiting on construction to be completed. We’re working around our contractors’ schedules and hoping to open by November 1st. That’s our goal, not a guaranteed opening date.

In the meantime, we still have overhead, bills, employees, and a business to keep moving forward. The market allows us to continue serving our community while construction is being completed, but it’s also something we’re genuinely excited to grow for years to come.

We did NOT open the market instead of the restaurant. We’re opening the market AND reopening the restaurant. Two different locations, two different experiences, and two more reasons to support local!

We genuinely appreciate everyone who continues to support us, whether that’s purchasing seafood, grabbing lunch from the trailer, booking catering, or simply sharing our posts.

We’re a small business doing our best to keep moving forward, and we cannot wait to welcome everyone back into the restaurant!

Our new friend, Mr. Freeman, stopped by Hushpuppies Catering & Seafood Market and picked up some fresh snapper and Gulf shrimp, then went home and whipped up THIS masterpiece!

Blackened snapper and shrimp topped with a citrus cream caper sauce! 🤤

I don’t know about y’all, but I think Mr. Freeman needs to start sharing recipes because GOODNESS! 😂👏

We absolutely LOVE seeing what our customers create with our fresh seafood! Keep those pictures coming! ❤️

Come see us Saturday, October 10th, from 11:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.! We’ll be OPEN and ready to get you stocked up on fresh seafood so you can create a masterpiece of your own!

🚨 TO WHOMEVER DECIDED OUR GENERATOR NEEDED A CHANGE OF SCENERY 🚨

If you happened to pick up our generator from 503 1/2 US 79 in Henderson on the night of 10/8 or in the early morning hours of 10/9, we would absolutely LOVE for you to return it to its rightful home.

Just leave it on the porch or where you found it and go about your day. No questions asked, no awkward conversations, and absolutely no eye contact necessary. We don’t need an explanation, a confession, or a dramatic reunion. We just need our generator back. 😂

Like every other small business and family out there, we’re doing everything we can to keep things going. We’re working long hours, juggling approximately 47 things at once, and trying to build something good for our community. A missing generator was NOT on the schedule.

And genuinely, we are praying for you. We know times are hard. If you’re struggling, if you’re hungry, if you need a meal, please come see us. We’ll gladly help you out however we can. We understand that life gets difficult, and we’d much rather help someone through a hard time than see anyone feel like they have to take from someone else.

Just please return our generator. No hard feelings, no public spectacle. Just put it back on the porch and let us all get back to our regularly scheduled chaos. 🩶
