The Grand Texana is a beautiful, unique, 80-year old dairy farm estate. It is located on Hwy 290, between Waller and Chappell Hill. It is conveniently accessible from Houston, College Station, Brenham, San Antonio and Austin. The centerpiece is a 10,000 square foot, authentic, 1930’s white wooden dairy barn. It has a large 2 story barn connected to a 1 story barn by a long, covered aisle, that was used for milking the cows. Adjacent to the Barn is a 1200 sq. foot covered pavilion. The Wooden Barn and it's unique architecture is a slice of history that the owners are committed to preserving and sharing for years to come.
The venue has 2 vintage white barns connected by the original milking aisles and 1200 sq’ attached, covered pavilion lined with bistro lights. One of the barns is primarily used for the reception and the 2nd barn is a charming, unique white chapel.
The barn is nestled on all 3 sides by wide-open cattle ranges populated by Black Angus, rolling pastures, forest and wildlife. It is also nestled beside a lush pecan orchard.
Our venue offers a unique, laid back, farmstead experience. There are beautiful locations for outdoor ceremonies or one can choose the indoor barn chapel. Receptions are held in the Reception barn with soaring ceilings or can be held outdoors draped with bistro lights and farm-style tables.
