A nearly 100-year old barn, which has many hidden stories and symbolizes resilience, now has a new purpose on Summer Star Ranch outside Helena.

It finally happened !!!

Here’s a bit of backstory for those who don’t know: 20 years ago this barn was sitting in a field in Helena , near where Super 1 is now. There was a sign out front, “Free – just needs to be moved.”
I wanted it but it wasnt meant to be. A nearby family—just 3 miles from the ranch—took it and had it relocated to their property, where it sat up on blocks for 19 years. Over the years, we tried (more than a few times!) to purchase it, but it never quite came together…
And guess what? It’s finally ours! The barn was officially moved to the ranch yesterday, and we couldn’t be more excited. Restoring it to its former glory is our big 2026 project, and we can't wait to bring it back to life. And anyone who knows us, knows we love saving a part of history!

This is a picture of the Freedom Tower that I took last week when I was flying into NY and it just overwhelmed me with the thoughts of what happened 24 years ago on 9/11. We remember the family members, friends and all of the innocent lives that were lost that day and the years following. We thank all of the brave men and women of the FDNY and other first responders that gave their lives that day to save the lives of thousands of innocent people. We thank the brave men and women of our military who have given their lives to protect our country and continue to do so every day. Despite your political beliefs we should all come together to remember those lost and reflect on how truly great our country is and the freedoms we have here in America that are not found in any other country in the world. That fact is what brought us together after 9/11 and should bring us together everyday. We will never forget. Matt Daw
