We spent the morning cutting back our peonies. They have suffered this season with all of the Spring rain and now drought. It's a bit earlier than usual but with limited rain coming this week I felt it was really important for the roots to be able to grab as many raindrops as possible.
We will let them rest a week or two, probably run the sprinklers on them a couple of times, and then dig some for sale. This season we will be selling the roots of some of our Duchess de Nemours (a soft white with soft yellow center) and Felix Crousse (a double medium pink). See the last two pics.
If you want to be on the list for peony roots please reach out! Details of pick-up will be provided as we get closer to digging in a couple weeks!
