Wedding flowers can be expensive but ask your florist how you can repurpose your wedding flowers.

As a wedding planner and florist we always think of ways to repurpose flowers for our clients. One great way to repurpose ceremony flowers is for the sweetheart table. Other ways we have repurposed wedding flowers include:

Your Altar Arrangements: Consider repurposing them to frame your sweetheart table or use them as a backdrop for your dessert table.

Reuse ceremony flowers for reception centerpieces:This not only saves you money, but also helps tie your event together seamlessly, creating a cohesive look from start to finish.

Your Lounge and Bar Areas: Your bridal bouquets can make stunning arrangements for your bar, lounge, or guest book areas. This allows you to showcase your florals in multiple spaces and create a cohesive, elevated look throughout your wedding.

Don’t let the cost of wedding flowers discourage you from buying them. Let them work for you.

Happy Wedding Planning.

Welcome to Wedding Tip Wednesday and today we’re talking about setting up tables.

If both your ceremony and reception take place at the same venue, make sure to move your tables all the way back, away from the ceremony area. For outdoor ceremonies, like at the Camron-Stanford House, use non-breakable items to prevent things like linens from blowing away.

Once the ceremony is over, you can quickly flip the room since your tables are already set up, making the transition smooth and stress-free.

Happy wedding Planning

You want to know one of the easiest ways to annoy wedding planners/coordinators? It’s when guests start to leave their stuff before they are allowed to come in.

When guests leave bags, jackets, or random belongings in the reception space, these items can end up in the background, ruining what could have been clean, beautiful shots of the reception decor.

Photographers only have a short window in the schedule to capture the room before it fills with your guests. If the space isn’t kept clear during this time, it’s almost impossible for them to get the detailed shots for the couple to remember.

So, as a courtesy to the couple and the vendor team working behind the scenes, be sure to hold onto your items until the doors are open to the reception. This simple act helps keep the space clear, allowing the photographer to capture beautiful memories everyone will cherish.

Welcome to wedding tip Wednesday and today we’re gonna talk about avoiding melting cakes.

In my 20+ years of being a wedding planner I have seen 4 melting cakes and it’s not a fun experience.

Communication with your cake baker is very important about delivery. You need to let them know when the actual reception starts and not the ceremony start time. It’s also important to let them know when the cake will be cut and will it be inside or outside. Yes, I have had cakes both melt inside and outside.

This will help them determine what time they should have the cake delivered. If they are unable to deliver the cake at a later time, this will at least gives them an option to have the cake refrigerated until it’s time to come out for its grand revile.

Most cake and dessert makers spend a lot of time creating these wonderful cakes so communicate and have your coordinator or whoever is in charge that day know the instructions about the cake so the cake is as pretty as it was delivered.

Happy wedding planning.
