Thank you, Scoop Savvy!

Your kind words mean so much. One of the things I love most about Haverhill’s Woofstock is seeing how our community comes together to support one another. Local businesses, pet parents, volunteers, sponsors, rescues, and neighbors all play a role in making these events special.

Thank you for being part of that spirit of connection and community. When people show up for one another, great things happen—not just for our pets, but for the people who love them too.

Grateful for everyone who has been part of the Woofstock journey.

As America celebrates 250 years of independence, we often reflect on the people, events, and ideals that shaped our nation.

But throughout that history, dogs have been there too.

They have served as hunters, guardians, working partners, military companions, and loyal friends. Their stories are woven into the fabric of American history, often reminding us of our shared humanity in the most unexpected ways.

One such story took place during the Revolutionary War when a lost terrier belonging to British General Sir William Howe wandered into General George Washington's camp after the Battle of Germantown. Rather than treating the dog as a prize of war, Washington ensured the dog was cared for and safely returned to its owner under a flag of truce.

It was a small act of kindness during a time of conflict, and a reminder that the bond between people and their dogs can transcend even the deepest divides.

As part of Haverhill's celebration of America's 250th anniversary, Haverhill's Woofstock is proud to share stories that highlight the important role dogs have played throughout our nation's history.

This is the first installment of History & Paws.

🌈Forever part of the pack.

Kona was our mama girl, the matriarch and defender of the farm. She was the smartest, sweetest, brightest, and most beautiful girl.

Whether she was keeping watch over Chris' Farm Stand or simply being by our side, Kona had a way of making everything feel safe and complete. She was deeply loved and will always be part of the heart and soul of the farm.

We miss her every day. 💔
