Some events just mean a little more. 💜

This weekend, we had the honor of catering the wedding of one of our very special repeat clients, Maria.

Over the years, Maria has trusted Alisha’s Creative Catering with several important occasions, so when she chose us to be a part of her wedding day, I wanted everything to be just right. This one was personal for me.

And can I just say—I’m so accustomed to seeing Maria in uniform, this was my first time seeing her all dressed up and she was absolutely beautiful!

Something else that made the evening special was seeing so many familiar faces. Throughout the night, I had the chance to talk with at least five other clients whose military promotion ceremonies we’ve catered over the years. It felt like a little reunion!

Maria, thank you for continuing to trust us and for allowing Alisha’s Creative Catering to be part of such a special day.🥂

COOLER ITEMS SOLD OUT! 💜

We’ve been busy behind the scenes preparing for this weekend’s event, so we haven’t restocked our cooler items this week.

But we DO still have a few freezer favorites available! 🙌🏾

🍛 Red Beans & Rice with Sausage & Ham Hocks
🍝 Spaghetti & Meatballs
🫛 Southern-Style Green Beans
🥬 Collard Greens

Our cooler will be fully restocked when we reopen Tuesday, and we’ll also be adding Chicken Spaghetti and Hamburger Steak & Gravy back to the freezer next week!

Every week isn't about preparing for a big event. Some days are just...days. 🤷🏽‍♀️

And honestly, those ordinary days are a big part of running a catering business too!

This week started with restocking our Chicken Salad & Pasta Salad, washing dishes, gathering trash and making a dumpster run. 

Then came our regular Cintas visit...followed by my dad's usual Wednesday visit for his Chicken Salad, Ritz crackers & Lemonade. 💜 This week he also had to show me his new shoes! 😂 So I took a little coffee break while we hung out before getting back to emails and making notes.

Thursday, Mom came by to help with a few things—but not before her nail appointment next door at Nail Academy. 💅🏾😂

Friday was cleaning day, including mopping the floors, but I had to leave before I could put everything back in place. 

So today I went back to finish the job, ordered more deli containers, grabbed my insulated bags...and headed out to pick up groceries for home.

No big event. No fancy buffet. Just the everyday things that keep the business going.
Every week may not be exciting, but there's always something to do behind the scenes at Alisha's Creative Catering. 💜

From Kitchen to Celebration... ✨

Ever wonder what goes into preparing for a catered event?

Our day started in the kitchen with fresh salads being assembled one cup at a time while another batch of our Southern Style Green Beans was restocked in the freezer. As the food came together, we wrapped, labeled, packed, organized equipment, pulled décor, and loaded everything needed for the evening's event.

Once the cooking was complete, everything was tucked safely into the warmer while we cleaned the kitchen, took a quick breather, and got ready to hit the road.

From there, it was time to load the warming bags, beverages, and supplies and head to the venue.

And then... I forgot to film. 🤦🏾‍♀️😂

When we arrived, we went straight into event mode. Before I knew it, the only footage I had was my amazing mom and aunt preparing the beverage station and my aunt and Tomekia setting out the salads before the finished setup.

The breakdown? I forgot that too! 😅 But honestly, that's probably because the band had everyone in such a great mood. We packed everything up, cleaned our area, organized the leftovers for our client, and before we knew it, we were headed back to the store.
..where I forgot to film us unloading, too. 😂

Sometimes the best events are the ones where you're so focused on serving your client well that the camera takes a back seat.

I'm incredibly proud of this team. They moved with confidence, worked together effortlessly, and made every stage—from prep to cleanup—look easy. That's the result of teamwork, experience, and a shared commitment to taking care of our clients.

To our wonderful client, thank you for trusting Alisha's Creative Catering to be part of your special evening. It was truly a beautiful event, and we were honored to serve you.

Some days off... aren't really days off. ☕️✨

Yesterday, while I was waiting on the AT&T technician, a neighbor reached out needing a last-minute charcuterie box with Merlot Cheese. So, I spent part of my "day off" creating this beautiful spread before getting back to waiting on the repair. 💜

Today, it was back to the shop...
✔️ Open sign on.
✔️ Music playing.
✔️ Chicken Spaghetti restocked in the freezer.
✔️ Coffee in hand.
✔️ Quotes to finish and emails to answer.
