Local Camp this summer with some great area coaches.!

The 2025 Upper Moreland Wrestling Day Camp Staff will combine expert coaching with a supportive and energetic atmosphere to ensure a rewarding experience for every camper. In addition to learning fundamental and advanced wrestling techniques, campers will develop their athleticism, discipline, and confidence on the mat. Through mentorship from high school wrestlers and coaches, young athletes will learn about leadership, responsibility, and teamwork. They’ll gain valuable experience in both competition and

At Noon today, the NCAA Wrestling Championships kicked off in Philadelphia. Semi-Final (Blood Round) tomorrow night, Finals on Saturday.

First, Congratulations to all of our ICWL Open wrestlers, 19 in total. We had a lot of wins today and more than this club has had in past years. This is a very hard tournament that spans 5 counties and two states.

Additionally, big shout out to Colin Murray for placing second and Andrew Hogan for placing 4th.

Congratulations to Nick Ley on a very successful High School Wrestling Career. Nick ends his High School Wrestling Career with 97 Wins (including 78 Pins!)

Nick started wrestling for the UMWC at the age of 4. He had been through 3 UMWC Presidents, and 3 Head Coaches. By the time Nick graduated out of the club program he had been wrestling for 10 years and we didn't think he would ever leave. Nick was always wanting to learn more and would stay after practices, mainly with legendary coach Dave Bolich to get extra mat time.

In 9th and 10th grade, Nick was a very wiry wrestler. He was so flexible that he was difficult to pin. Nick would get himself into very compromising situations that would get your heart racing. However, his elusive style would wear on his opponents stamina at which time Nick would turn the table. To say Nick was fun to watch, is an understatement.

In his 11th and 12th grade seasons, Nick got physically strong. For anyone that has seen Nick these days, he is probably pound for pound one of the strongest kids at UMHS. He was a dominant force on the mat this season being a strong contributor to his team and a Regional Qualifier. His work ethic on and off the mat was unmatched. This type of behavior will carry Nick far in life. UMWC and UMHS High School were much better having Nick Ley a part of their teams.

We are all very proud of you.

Congratulations to UMWC Alumni Ryan Solomon on his 2nd place finish at the PIAA District 1 North AAA Championships. Ryan also qualified for the PIAA Southeast Regional Championship.

Congratulations to UMWC Alumni Nick Ley for qualifying for the PIAA Southeastern AAA Regional. 96 wins with 77 pins so far as a varsity wrestler. Great Job Nick!
