Held on the courthouse lawn, this event features over 60 arts and crafts vendors showcasing one-of-a-kind, hand-made wares. The craft show is centrally located within the festival making it easy to walk to.

Do you have a love for local produce and a passion for all things asparagus? 💚 The search is on for the 2025 Asparagus Queen!

As the Asparagus Queen, you’ll represent our vibrant community, promote local farms, and serve as the face of Michigan asparagus. It’s a fun, exciting opportunity to get involved, connect with local growers, and be a voice for agriculture in our area!

This fun-filled evening is where this year's Asparagus Queen will be crowned! The Queen will receive a $1,000 scholarship to use towards continuing education or as a contribution to a local non-profit (approved by the NAF Board of Directors).

Oceana County is one of the leading asparagus-producing states in the country. Each year, the National Asparagus Festival, held the second weekend in June, marks the celebration of our harvest. Join us for the longest-running asparagus festival in the country!

Congratulations to former Asaragus Queen, Mary Sheppard for being recognized as an emerging leader in the Ag industry! 🎉

One of our own asparagus growers -- Mary Sheppard -- was selected as one of 40 emerging agricultural leaders from across the United States for the Fruit + Vegetable 40 under 40 awards. You'll recall that Mary was part of our video series earlier this year the "Asparagus Nitty Gritty." Congratulations Mary.

The NAF Board of Directors is seeking a motivated individual to handle the role of Queen Coordinator. The role of the Asparagus Queen evolves annually and we are looking for someone to bring new ideas and passion to this position. This individual is someone who is self-motivated, detailed and task oriented.

Responsibilities of the Queen Coordinator include:

🔸Managing the application process
🔸Coordinating the Queen’s pageant
🔸Maintaining the Queen’s schedule including parades and event appearances throughout their reign.
