I pick buckets of flowers either in the early morning or late evening during the cooler hours. I leave the flowers along for at least 6 to 12 hrs. I than take them out and separate into colors, types of flowers and stem lengths. Once I assemble a bouquet I cut the stems and place them into vases.

I get so much enjoyment having bouquets of flowers around the house.

I am excited to finally have enough flowers blooming at one time to make some beautiful bouquets. I am trying to rely more on perennials than annuals to make up my bouquets. This year I planted 7 different kinds of perennials from seed. Dianthus, Pincushion, Queen Anne's Lace, Black Eyed Susan, Yarrow, Poppy, Delphiniums. Only 4 of these made it to maturity. It has been a little slow getting flowers but next year should be great since these plants will be established.

I tried to grow tulips from bulbs I had planted in the fall of 2019. Between the weather, old bulbs and voles this was all that survived.
I will be planting new bulbs this fall for next year.
