🚨 OUR BIGGEST UPDATE YET IS OFFICIALLY LIVE! 🚨

We’re continuing to move Youth Wrestling Rankings toward a system that considers more than tournament placements and points. Head-to-head results matter—and we’ve been working behind the scenes to build one of the largest youth wrestling match databases possible.

We have now compiled more than 200,000 bouts, giving us a much clearer picture of what’s actually happening on the mat. šŸ¤¼ā€ā™‚ļø

Here’s what’s new:

šŸ”„ Rankings have expanded to the Top 12 wrestlers at every weight.

šŸ“Š Ranked wins and losses are now displayed on wrestler profiles, including each wrestler’s record against the current National Top 12.

⭐ The new Rising Stars tab highlights unranked wrestlers who have earned at least three wins over currently ranked opponents. These are wrestlers who may not have accumulated enough tournament points yet—but have proven they can compete with the best.

āœ… The Corrections tab has been upgraded. If a ranked win is missing, you can now submit the opponent, tournament, date, weight, score, and official results link directly to us for verification.

This is a major step toward rankings that reflect not only where wrestlers place, but who they have actually beaten.

We still have a lot of work ahead as we continue gathering results, separating wrestlers with similar names, and verifying match records. Your corrections and feedback will help make the rankings stronger and more accurate every week.

Which part of the update are you most excited about? Let us know in the comments! šŸ‘‡

This isn’t a representative ranking if head-to-head isn’t a criterion.. it’s a points leader list of ranker-selected events!

Transparency matters to us. It recently came to our attention that John Cambra’s ranking was incorrect because some of his results were listed under different age divisions and name variations, preventing every result from being combined under one wrestler.

We corrected his profile, combined all verified results and updated the rankings. John is now ranked No. 1 in the Boys Overall Pound-for-Pound rankings with 600 counting points and 1,000 total points.

These rankings are built from thousands of individual results, but accuracy remains our responsibility. If something looks wrong, let us know. We will investigate it and publicly correct any mistake we find.

Youth Wrestling Rankings - Did you consider adding head-to-head results to the criteria? If not, would it be more representative changing "rankings" to "points leader"? I have a hard time buying into a ranking system that doesn't consider head-to-head results. It seems that a recent head-to-head outcome should carry significant weight when determining rankings.
