Well y’all… GOAT MOM IS BACK! 😂🐐

Which means Aunt Pearl’s luxurious self-care weekend has officially come to an end.

The robe is off.
The cucumbers are gone.
The sundress is on.
The hat is fabulous.
And apparently… WE HAVE CHORES AGAIN. 🙄😂

I grabbed the feed bucket and headed toward the goat pen, where everyone was waiting like they hadn’t eaten since 1987.

Honestly, the reception was overwhelming.

I’d like to think they missed me, but judging by the way they’re staring at this bucket… I have my doubts. 😂

Welcome home, Goat Mom! I kept everybody alive, enjoyed a little spa time, introduced Lily to the finer things in life, and maintained complete control of RedTail Mini Ranch.

Now somebody open this gate before these goats climb over it.

It’s a beautiful Sunday morning at RedTail Mini Ranch. ☀️🌾🐐🐑

Goats are munching, chickens are doing chicken things, Lily Vuitton is undoubtedly wearing at least a little hay 😂, and I’m just soaking in the kind of morning that makes me grateful for this little life of mine. ❤️

Nothing fancy. Nothing rushed. Just animals, sunshine, fresh air and a whole lot of peace.

Well y’all, apparently Self-Care Weekend has a new member. 😂💕

Miss Lily Vuitton wandered into Aunt Pearl’s spa, and one look at that wool coat told me this girl needed some serious pampering.

So I sat her down and explained a few things:

“Lily, darling… self-care isn’t selfish. It’s necessary. You can’t pour from an empty tub!” 💅🫧

We put on the robes.
We added the cucumbers. 🥒
We lit the candles.
We located the snacks.
And most importantly…

WE IGNORED EVERYBODY ELSE. 😂😂😂

Lily is catching on quickly. Although I’m fairly certain she thinks “spa day” simply means someone brings you treats while you sit still.

Honestly?

She’s not wrong. 🤷‍♀️🐑

So from two very relaxed ladies at RedTail Mini Ranch: take some time for YOU, don’t sweat the little things, get your rest…

…and honey, never skip the cucumbers. 🥒💕

💔 In Loving Memory of Ms. Frizzle 💔

RedTail Mini Ranch lost a very special little soul today.

Our beloved Ms. Frizzle succumbed to this relentless Kansas heat. And while she may have been “just a chicken” to some, around here we know better.

She was my favorite chicken. ❤️🐔

There was just something about Ms. Frizzle. Her wild little feathers. Her personality. The way she could make me smile simply by being herself. In a ranch full of characters, she somehow managed to be completely unforgettable.

That’s the thing about loving animals—you open your heart knowing that someday it will hurt. But I wouldn’t trade all the ordinary days with her just to avoid this one very sad day.

So tonight, RedTail feels a little different.

One less set of tiny feet.
One less beautiful, ridiculous hairdo.
One less little face for Goat Mom to look for during chores.

Rest easy, sweet Ms. Frizzle. 🌈🐔
You were loved. You mattered. And you will absolutely be missed.

Forever one of the special ones at RedTail Mini Ranch. ❤️

She’s off enjoying her weekend, and apparently that means Aunt Pearl is in charge.

So naturally, my first official act as ranch supervisor was to declare…

SPA DAY. 🛁🥒💕

I’ve got my robe.
I’ve got my cucumber eyes.
I’ve got my coffee. ☕️
And I have specifically instructed those goats that unless someone is bleeding, escaping, or the treat bucket has mysteriously opened itself…

DO. NOT. DISTURB. 😂😂😂

They’re already peeking over the gate.

Typical.

Goat Mom, you enjoy your weekend. Everything here at RedTail Mini Ranch is completely under control.

🪿🐑 MEANWHILE AT REDTAIL MINI RANCH…

Well y’all, Aunt Pearl has taken it upon herself to teach Miss Lily Vuitton how things work around here. 💕😂

Lesson #1: ALWAYS know where the treat bucket is.

Today I introduced Lily to the chicken girls and explained proper RedTail snack etiquette:

🐓 Chickens get their treats.
🐐 Goats get their treats.
🐑 Lily gets her treats.
🪿 And Aunt Pearl supervises ALL treat distribution.

It’s a very sophisticated operation. 😂

Lily seemed especially interested in this particular lesson. I have a feeling she’s going to fit into this family just fine. 💅🐑

There’s a lot for a new girl to learn around RedTail Mini Ranch, but we’re taking it one adventure—and apparently one snack—at a time. ❤️

Welcome to ranch life, Lily girl. Aunt Pearl will show you the ropes.

First rule of RedTail: A little treat makes for a happy snack! 😂💕
