Bittersweet memories…

No matter how many years go by. My birthdays have been an emotional roller coaster since 1995. That was the 1st year I celebrated my birthday without my twin Guadalupe Abrego. My Mom and my Sister Mona Delacruz went out of the way to make me feel special. And they did a great job of it!! Then on June 14, 2007 my Big Brother Freddy went to heaven. Freddy celebrated 1/2 a day of my birthday with me and the other half with my twin in heaven. (My nephew, Sonny Abrego, is the one who made it all clear to me and it me feel a little better about losing my brother on my birthday. However, It still Left a big hole in my heart.

I am fortunate enough that they both visit me often in my dreams.

I have learned to cope with all the emotions that come with grief including missing them dearly. Just so that you know, when it comes to grief, time has no distance. It does not recognize seconds, minutes, hours, Days, or years.

So today, I say Happy Heavenly Birthday Lupe. and Happy Heavenly Anniversary Freddy. I love you and miss you dearly. See you in my Dreams!! Please hug and give some love to Mom & Dad. I miss all of you especially on this day.
