Franklin County Agricultural Fair!
I've entered crafty things in the past years but decided to try my hand with my flowers this year! The zinnias were entered in an all zinnia category. The shadow box was entered in the arranged dried flower category. I grew, dried, and designed the flowers in the shadow box.

There were a lot of beautiful entries in all of the categories and we enjoyed looking around at all of them! The fair is still going on! Go check it out!

It's Friday! We've been pretty busy trying to stay on top of things, but still manage to always be behind! We are so thankful to be going into August with green grass still in the fields and pastures!

It will be a few more weeks before I can get back to selling flowers at the market. I'm in the middle of my weekend rotation at work. I am still selling sunflowers privately from the farm! I'm sold out for this weekend but will have more ready next week! Reach out if you're interested!

Happy 4th of July!

We are currently offering sunflowers by the dozen for $20!
Uses for them are endless! Baby showers, bridal showers, birthday parties, church bouquets, or keep them for yourself!
We've been planting sunflowers weekly and will continue to do so for the rest of the summer!
Mother nature permitting, sunflowers will continue to be available through frost! Harvested daily, conditioned, and stored for optimal vase life!
We are also bringing an assortment of flowers to Westlake Farmers Market this Saturday from 9-1!

Mums arrived last week! Finally finished potting and getting them set out in their summer home! We did move their location to a more user friendly spot!

On another note, We have decided not to grow pumpkins this year. We just can't compete with the box store prices. The amount of work & money that goes into them makes them a non viable investment for us.

We may shift the fall festivities around the mum sales instead. That decision hasn't been made yet. Our fall events are outgrowing our abilities to have them. We are just 2 people trying to share our little corner of the world!

Finally starting to get a variety of flowers blooming in the garden! We are hoping to offer a bigger U-Pick this year! Once more start blooming, we will offer limited dates & times for you to explore the garden and cut your own flowers! If you need flowers before then, please reach out! Happy Mother's Day!
I chose to take a picture of laurel specifically for today. Laurel has always reminded me of both of my parents!

Laurel to me represents a quiet presence on the edge of the woods, beautifully looking out at the goings on in the sunshine!

It reminds me of where my parents came from & how they pushed & allowed us kids to find our sunshine!

Starting to see some color from the flower garden! We will be set up @ Mamma Anne's on Scruggs Rd tomorrow! We are offering fresh cut flowers, dried flower designed gifts, and a few other interesting items! Flowers will be sold by the stem. You can 'build your own bouquet' for yourself or your mom!
