July always feels like the heart of summer—and the Fourth is its shining moment. But while so many are gathering for big celebrations, but sometimes I find myself craving something a little quieter. A slow morning. Just the two of us.

I imagined this simple brunch using vintage pieces from around the cottage (and even a few surprises from my Christmas bin!). With a pop of red, white, and blue and the soft hum of lake life in the background, it turned into the sweetest little moment.

Happy January flower friends!
Did you know that carnations are the birth flower for this month? It seems appropriate, a hardy, long lasting flower for this cold time of year
