Petals and Paint is Hiring!
Petals & Paint is looking to add a few amazing people to our creative team! We host art classes, kids’ birthday parties, private events, fundraisers, themed workshops, and space rentals at our studio in Metairie.

We are currently looking for:
Class & Party Assistant
Most classes and parties are around 3 hours long. This person must be friendly, reliable, helpful, and great with people. You will help create a fun, smooth experience for guests by assisting with things like handing out paints, freshening water, helping guests as needed, prepping supplies, cleaning up, and shellacking finished artwork. Masks and gloves are provided. Must also be comfortable using a staple gun and helping with party prep outside of class/event hours.
Apprentice / Future Instructor
I am also looking for someone who wants to learn what I do and eventually be able to lead classes or events on their own. You may start as an assistant, learn the process, help prep, assist during classes, and grow into a bigger role.
Guest Teachers / Craft Instructors
Do you teach a craft, art project, or creative class? Petals & Paint is also looking for teachers who want to host their own classes at the studio.
Booking / Recruiting / Promotions Person
This is a commission-based opportunity that can be done mostly from home through calls, texts, and social media. This person will help fill seats for public classes, promote private art parties, book birthdays, promote space rentals, help schedule classes, brainstorm event ideas, assist with themed class planning, and help make purchasing decisions for events and studio upgrades. There will also be an allotted advertising/promotional budget to help fill classes and events.
This opportunity is not limited to one person. Assistants, apprentices, and instructors are also welcome to help promote and fill seats and will be compensated accordingly.
Petals & Paint can accommodate up to 22 guests and also offers an additional party room with plenty of counter space for food and drinks, plus a 42-bottle wine cooler. Depending on the size of the class or party, we usually comp the host.
Requirements:
Must be dependable, friendly, and have reliable transportation. No experience is necessary for some positions, but you must be willing to learn, help, communicate clearly, and show up. These events are treated as seriously as weddings because many of them are children’s birthday parties, and we do not disappoint kids on their special day.
We are looking for people with a go-getter mentality who can help show the community all the fun and creative possibilities Petals & Paint offers.
Must pass a criminal and social media background check. Must provide at least two previous places of employment and three references.
