Step into Gravity Pool, this year’s immersive installation in the Galaxy Courtyard at Pickathon 2025. Designed by Blackbird Public Arts with lead designers Matthew Thomas and Christopher Cardoza, the space pays homage to Pickathon’s Steelhead mascot—blending anatomy and movement in a glowing, sculptural form that guides dancers through the night.

Built in collaboration with volunteers, the Guild of Oregon Woodworkers, and community partners, Gravity Pool is more than a dance floor—it’s a living work of art and mentorship.
