Here’s a sneak peek at a wedding that was particularly special to design for. The bride Emily and my daughter Haleigh were soccer teammates as kids, and the bride’s father John was their coach!

John had a wonderful influence on my daughter as her coach. When she began on the team, she had very little experience. Under his encouragement and tutelage, she grew into a strong player and learned lifelong lessons about sportsmanship, perseverance, and friendship along the way. Her time on the team really holds up as a beautiful part of her childhood.

Getting to design the florals for Emily’s wedding felt full-circle, and it was magical to see Emily glowing as a bride surrounded by all her loved ones. Seeing our daughters as adults who have used the lessons they learned as children to become the kind and generous women they are today…let’s just say, I needed tissues on hand. 😄

Not only that, but the venue was the same one where Emily’s parents, John and Maria, held their wedding in 1993! A full-circle day for everyone, and one of the best parts about what I do. ☺️
