KR Weddings & Events is officially closing its chapter and ending its services indefinitely.

I’m sure this comes to a surprise to so many and slightly, me too. While delivering on my promise of giving my couples 110%, I was pushing through a body that was running an empty and in need of a healthier lifestyle and attention.

I have no doubt that this business would have flourished but I can say with confidence, this is the best decision for my overall health and wellbeing.

To my couples, I truly feel so honored to be apart of your love story and to get to know each and every one of you. It was the greatest gift.

To the couples who had to pivot because of this news, I appreciate your grace and will be praying that your wedding day is full of presence, laughter, love, and beautiful moments.

I’m Kate! No, I’m not married but my boyfriend and I have been together 3 years this September. Together, we co manage a casual fine dining steakhouse in Quincy, IL.

Originally from Buffalo, NY but a Midwest girly at heart. I have traveled from coast to coast and lived in various cities - the most fun being Nashville, TN!

I live, breathe, and sleep events and weddings! When I’m not coordinating or planning your special day, I’m coordinating and planning rehearsal dinners, business programs, celebrations of life, and many other events!

I love listening to music, dancing, singing, making friends in every place I go, and advocating for mental health and women’s health.

I am a lover of people, deep and meaningful relationships, and getting the job done while also having fun.

What an amazing venue this was!

Helena & Darren’s wedding took place at Little Piney Lodge just outside of Hermann, MO. This was a DIY heavy wedding, with friends & family stepping in to DJ (Thanks, Uncle, Chris) and to decorate the reception space. It was a great day with exceptional weather!
