Why You Should Schedule Your Alterations 3 Months Before Your Wedding?

Here is WHY:
- Alterations take time because fit is a process, not a quick fix.

- Brides need at least 2–3 fittings.

- Rushed alterations increase stress and limit what can be done.

- Booking early protects your timeline and your peace.

Your gown is the centerpiece of your wedding day, and alterations are where it becomes your gown. A good rule is to book your first fitting at least three months before your wedding date. This gives your seamstress enough time for the full fitting journey — usually two to three appointments spaced a few weeks apart.

Booking early allows for proper shaping, structural adjustments, hem placements, bustle design, and fine-tuning. It also ensures your appointments fit around the rest of your wedding-day prep. By starting three months out, you give yourself room to breathe and enjoy the experience instead of rushing through it.
