We've had a female mallard duck hanging out in our yard for a few days now.
Today she discovered our pond and we're enjoying watching her swim around.

We're still here and everything is fine.

We're just taking a little time off to enjoy our last summer with our youngest child before he leaves for college (no, I'm not ok 😭).

Our 5th summer as a farm and we're only growing tomatoes, basil and hundreds of dahlias that will be blooming when we come back to and in early September.

Thanks to everyone who reached out asking about us! We love that you're thinking of us!

While harvesting the last of the lisianthus yesterday, I saw something just barely popping out of one of the flowers. Closer inspection revealed the tiniest anole lizard I've ever seen. He wasn't even 2" long!
Of course, I left his flower bed in the garden for him so he could get a good night's rest 😴

Are there anoles where you live? If so, have you ever seen one so small? I like all of them, but the little babies are my favorites!

While removing our sweet pea vines today we found two snake skins in one bed.
They just serve as a reminder to put my gloves on.
