Good Morning Everyone,

Last night, an event held at our venue unfortunately became disorderly and was shut down due to overcrowding and unruly behavior among attending teenagers. The venue was rented by an adult who informed us the gathering would be for approximately 50 guests.

As venue owners, we cannot control how guests choose to behave once the space has been rented or predict how an event will be conducted. For all evening rentals, security is required and was present during this event. Once capacity was reached, security stopped allowing additional guests inside, which led to a large crowd forming outside.

In the five years we’ve operated Angel’s Place Venue, we have never experienced an incident of this nature. We sincerely thank the Hammond Police Department for their prompt response and assistance in dispersing the crowd.

We also want to clarify any confusion or misinformation circulating online. The safety of our community and guests remains our top priority, and we will continue to ensure that all events at Angel’s Place Venue are conducted responsibly and respectfully.
