Custom desserts are one of those event details people absolutely notice. Mostly because people love dessert and we are not pretending otherwise. 😏

This month’s Auntie Approved Vendor is Sweet Creations By Sarah — a local baker creating custom cakes, cupcakes, and cookies for graduations, bridal showers, weddings, birthdays, business events, and basically any gathering where people deserve something sweet.

I first connected with Sarah while searching for desserts for a Habitat for Humanity dessert auction, and I could immediately tell she had the creativity, freshness, and attention to detail that makes a vendor stand out.

She’s local, talented, and puts her heart into every order — which is exactly why she’s Auntie Approved.

Well… here’s an update!

A little while back I shared that AK Events had been nominated for Best Wedding Planner/Coordinator in the 2026 Best of St. Croix Valley awards through St. Croix Valley Magazine.

Thanks to your support, AK Events is now a Top 3 Finalist.
There were a lot of incredible people nominated in this category — including some planners I’ve had the chance to work with who are absolutely amazing at what they do. Being included among them is truly an honor.

To everyone who voted and supported AK Events… thank you. I appreciate it more than you know.
Now we wait to see what happens when the winners are announced in June!

Either way, I’m incredibly grateful to be part of such a talented event community here in the St. Croix Valley.
