Led by professional artist and educator Melissa Peterson, the colored pencil workshop will explore how to capture the colors, textures, and personality of stuffed animals and favorite childhood toys. Through guided exercises and personalized instruction, you'll learn layering techniques, color theory, texture-building methods, and drawing fundamentals while creating artwork you'll be proud to take home. All materials are provided—just bring your imagination and a sense of curiosity.

Between creative sessions, enjoy nourishing meals, optional morning yoga and mindfulness practices, cozy evenings with tea, wine, and conversation, and plenty of time to rest, reflect, and explore Hamilton’s charming Dayton Lane neighborhood. We were thrilled to visit Indigo Hippo Hamilton, an art supply thrift store located in a former firehouse in Hamilton! Making creating accessible to all with a pay-what-you-can system, and helping the earth by keeping supplies out of landfills and in the hands of creatives, we loved everything about this place! Their inventory is always changing as new donations arrive. Go check them out and be inspired. Or if you have art supplies that you aren't using donate them.
