We’re not hiring just anyone... we're looking for the fair fairies ✨—the rare humans who bring the magic.

Do you have ideas bursting out of your brain? Can you organize a hot mess into a masterpiece? Do you know how to delegate, have fun, and show up? Then you might just be our kind of person.

The Ravalli County Fair is on the hunt for Superintendents for the 2026 season—and we’re not talking about boring clipboard holders. We want visionaries. Makers. Doers. People who love community, creativity, and crafting a seriously awesome fair experience.

What’s a Superintendent?

Think of it as being the head honcho of a Fair Department—like Hobby Creations (DIY!) or Home Arts (sewing, needlework, etc). You'll guide your department, dream up fresh ideas, help organize judging, and inspire participation from the community.

The Timeline:

🍂 Fall: Debrief, celebrate wins, and brainstorm for next year, Hibernate, recharge, and repeat!

❄️ Winter/🗓️ Spring: Planning & dreaming begins, wrangle judges

☀️ Summer: plan exhibits, and rally your crew

🎪 Fair Time: Lead the magic during Fair week

We’re looking for leaders who:

Love creativity & community

Can organize and delegate (without losing the fun)

Aren’t afraid to make a department their own

Want to grow something meaningful with a team of other passionate weirdos 💛

Each year the organization EMPTY BOWLS of the BITTERROOT puts together a wonderful community luncheon. This will be their 8th year! Each year proceeds allow them to donate approximately $8000 to local valley food banks.

EMPTY BOWLS 2025 LUNCHEON TICKETS GO ON SALE OCTOBER 11TH. Tickets on sale at Chapter One and Clayworks Pottery Studio for $30.

During the luncheon everyone gets to pick out 1 hand made pottery bowl to keep. Clay artists work during the year to donate their bowls! One ticket gets all the soups you want and a beautiful artisan bowl...all for $30
