Phew! What a weekend! (Hence why I am writing this and it is Thursday)🌸 The biggest thank you to and for helping us successfully get through three markets, a gorgeous wedding, deliveries, and whole lot of bread making. We even managed to sneak in a quick camping trip to the Adirondacks to decompress. Tallulah and I swam across an entire lake 💪, got some kayaking/fishing in, and we became pros at putting up (and taking down) our pop-up camper after I set us all up at the completely wrong campsite….twice🤦‍♀️.

If you stopped by our market stand this month, you might’ve caught a little sneak peek of something new and exciting we’ve been working on. In addition to our flowers, we’re now offering fresh-baked sourdough or as our little family likes to call it: Flowerdough 🌸🍞

If you’ve ever talked to Travis, chances are he’s managed to slip sourdough into the conversation somehow (maybe that’s why we don’t get invited to many social gatherings 😂). He birthed our starter, Clementine, over three years ago, and while life got ridiculously busy, the sourdough obsession is back! Of course, we can’t just have plain ol sourdough. We have to pretty it up with our pressed blooms.

Happy Tuesday! The flowers and weeds are out of control and we have been going nonstop to try and keep up. We bought a rinky-dink pop up camper (which was the best impulse buy ever) to drag to the beach with us. It was a blast and we somehow made it back home without a popped tire and all 400 lbs of Tallulah and Milo’s precious beach shells and rocks. We came home to the very first dahlia bloom of 2025 🥹 and we are rolling in a ton of neon bright orange zinnias (which we thought were going to be light pink 🤦‍♀️) .

Late June into early July can be a tricky time in the flower farming world. Spring blooms are getting the heck out of this heat, and summer flowers are just on the brink of exploding. It might not look like it, but many of the flowers in last week’s bouquets are flowers that we wouldn’t really bat an eye at any other time throughout the season. It does make us appreciate all that is growing which we quickly forget about once our dahlias and zinnias are here 🤣
Our peony stash is nearly gone so if you’ve been waiting, this weekend is your last chance to grab some! I’ve saved a few of my absolute favorites for a very special bridal bouquet 🥹

I didn’t want to jinx it, but now that it’s 8 million degrees outside and we’ve harvested the last succession of them, I can officially say this was our best and longest ranunculus season yet! In a few weeks, we’ll be starting up corms again to (hopefully!) add to our mum bouquets this fall.

It’s already next week and I didn’t share any bouquets from last week😝. It has rained every Saturday for what feels like the 568th time. Super annoying for trying to take my completely unnecessary market bouquet photos but we’re thankful for the wet spring we have had because we still haven’t set up irrigation and it’s almost July 😳

Happy June!🌱✨ Dahlias are finally in the ground (it’s a miracle), tomatoes and cucumbers too! The peonies have been blooming faster than we can keep up with 😅.
So excited to flower a gorgeous wedding this weekend and celebrate my sweet Milo turning THREE. He is about to get all the Spider-Man his little heart can handle 🕷🎉💐

How is it already the end of May?! The last few weeks have flown by. Wedding and prom season has started, farmers markets have moved outside, flower deliveries are going out into the world and even though the sun hasn’t been out much, the ranunculus and anemones are thriving. We’ve been nonstop planting and while it feels like we still have 8 million baby plants left to get into the ground, the end is near! All of our Dahlia cuttings went in before Mother’s Day, but this is the week we get the remaining tubers out of the garage😳. Then we can just sit back, put up our feet and relax until August… right? 😜

It may have taken me an extra five days, but I finally sat down to put together a proper Mother’s Day post! We hope everyone had a wonderful day celebrating the mamas in your life and soaking in all of the sunshine. I know every mom thinks it about their own kids, but truly, my kids are two of the kindest, most special little humans a mom could ever hope for. (Ask me this again when they’re both teenagers 😜).
