Feeling so honored to be a part of the Portuguese Holy Ghost Festival (Chamarita) in HMB! 🇵🇹✨ Making corsages and boutonnières for the queens and their courts, as well as IDES officers, has been such a special experience. This organization was a huge part of our upbringing as daughters of Portuguese immigrants, and it was a social hub for all the Portuguese families in the community. I have such fond memories of running around the hall with all the other Portuguese kids while our parents socialized and danced. This was our playground, our social scene, our everything! 🎉 Diane and I have both been part of the little queens court as side maids, and we are so proud of all the hard work that goes into keeping this tradition alive. Here’s to many more years of celebrating our heritage and coming together as a community! 🌟

That’s a wrap for HMBHS prom flowers . I seriously could do this all day. And can you believe how grown up these kids are now? I remember some of them from back in their elementary school days ! It was extra special making these corsages for kids from our own high school.
Wait until you see the mini floral bouquets - they are absolutely gorgeous. I really hope this trend catches on in California. Stay tuned for some pics! Can’t wait to share them with you all.
