Six months ago, I knew I wanted something different.

I wanted more flexibility and freedom. I wanted to build something I was passionate about. I wanted the opportunity to create my own schedule, focus on our future family, and have my results directly reflect my effort.

For a long time, I found myself envious of people who had the freedom and flexibility I wanted in their careers.

Then I realized I could stop wishing for that life and start building it.

So I did.

The early mornings, late nights, sacrifices, risks, and uncertainty weren’t always comfortable, but neither was staying where I was.

Behind every event, delivery, and latte was a whole lot of work that most people never see.

With both of us working other jobs while building Honeyroot, there were plenty of 16-hour days this month. Alex spent all last week working 4 hours away from home and got back just in time Friday evening to help set up for our event. 😭❤️

This month brought some of our biggest orders yet, new partnerships, new opportunities, and a growing calendar that continues to exceed everything we imagined. ✨

As we begin planning our June calendar, we’re feeling incredibly grateful for how far Honeyroot has come and so excited for what’s ahead!

One of my favorite comments at the beginning of our journey with Honeyroot Coffee Co. was, “you’re going to be a barista…?”

Yes. Yes I am. ☕️😌

And also a marketer, accountant, event coordinator, content creator, delivery driver… and about 20 other jobs I never realized came with building a business lol.

Somehow, this journey has already brought us more opportunities, growth, and joy than I could have imagined. Grateful we kept building anyway. 🤍
