We are so excited to announce that Old Oaks Ranges Farm is opening our exterior grounds to photographers and their clients! 🤍
This is more than a place for a photo shoot. It’s an experience.
This is the first step in something we have been dreaming about for Old Oaks Ranges Farm. Our hope is to thoughtfully share this special place while preserving its history and character—and to use what we earn to continue restoring and caring for the property.
We cannot wait to see the moments, milestones, and memories captured here. 🤍
📸 A PHOTOGRAPHER’S DREAM
Our historic estate offers 4.5 acres of serene countryside with a collection of timeless and beautifully unique photography settings:
🏛️ THE FRONT PORCH: The front porch of our 1867 mansion features a stunning carved wooden entry door and a view looking straight down historic Carriage Alley toward Allison Road.
🌿 THE REAR VIEW PORCH: A peaceful setting overlooking the entrance to the property’s underground well.
🏚️ THE SMOKEHOUSE: Our 1800s smokehouse predates the present mansion. Its exact construction year is unknown, as the original home was lost to fire. Once used for smoking and preserving meats such as hams, it remains a beautiful piece of the property’s history.
🌳 THE TREE SWING: Come swing where country star Deana Carter’s “Strawberry Wine” music video was filmed. Take a seat beneath the shade and capture your own memory in a little piece of country music history.
🌾 THE OLD BARN: Still standing and telling its story through every weathered board.

🥕 THE HARVEST GARDEN — Seasonal: Growing food, flowers, and faith.

🌸 THE ZINNIA WALKING PATH — Seasonal: Our colorful chaos gardens line both sides of the main drive leading toward the mansion. Every bloom is a reminder that we can plant and water the seed, but it is God who gives the increase.

🙏 THE GARDEN OF PEACE: Home to our Prayer Fountain—no wishing or coins required. Just sit and have a little talk with Jesus while capturing lasting memories.

🐴 CARRIAGE ALLEY: A pathway beneath century-old trees that once served as the route for horses and carriages traveling to the mansion. Today, it creates a timeless natural backdrop.
🔔 MAKE A JOYFUL NOISE — HISTORIC BELL: Once used to announce supper time, this historic bell can still be rung. Today, ring it with joy!

🌅 THE SUNSET VIEWING DECK — The Premium Experience: Golden-hour glory in every season. From here, the sunset paints a wide-open view across the Kentucky–Tennessee sky.

🚂 BONUS LOCATION — THE CROSSING: Available as an add-on only.
Located just 3 minutes down the same road toward Guthrie city limits, The Crossing is our separate 1.2-acre lot bordering the railroad tracks and featuring a rustic, open-sided structure for an entirely different photography setting. For everyone’s safety and out of respect for the railroad, photographers and clients must remain off the railroad tracks at all times.
