📣 An Update from JR Smokehouse BBQ

To our JR Smokehouse BBQ family,

We wanted to share an important update with all of you. After giving it a lot of thought, we've made the difficult decision to close the small location we were operating throughout the week.

Unfortunately, there just wasn't enough foot traffic to make it financially sustainable. As a small business, we have to make decisions that keep us moving forward, and continuing to operate at a loss simply isn't the right path.

This is not goodbye. We're simply shifting our focus to what has always been our strongest part of the business—catering.

We will continue to accept catering orders for birthdays, family reunions, weddings, graduations, corporate events, parties, and any special occasion. If you need great barbecue and homemade food, JR Smokehouse BBQ is ready to serve you.

We also want to sincerely thank every single person who came out, shared our posts, recommended us to others, and supported us along the way. Your support means more than you know, and we truly appreciate each and every one of you.

This is just a step back so we can take a bigger step forward. Our long-term goal is still to open our own standalone restaurant, and we're going to keep working hard to make that dream a reality.

I just had to say this , so people can understand and stop looking from the outside in!!!!
To those who don't understand the restaurant business but always have opinions about menu prices, this message is for you.

Running a restaurant isn't just about cooking great food. Every menu price has to cover food costs, labor, rent, utilities, insurance, supplies, taxes, and everything else it takes to keep the doors open. In this industry, a healthy food cost is typically around 28–30%. If we don't price our food accordingly, we won't be in business for long.

At JR Smokehouse BBQ, we take pride in serving quality food made with quality ingredients, and our prices reflect what it takes to continue doing that.

Our prices are what they are. They are fair, they are based on the cost of doing business, and they are non-negotiable.
