To say it’s been busy here at Kid & Play would be a major understatement! However, amidst birthdays, graduations, and end of school year celebrations, I did want to share this recent appearance on The Nine with FOX 2 Detroit! Happy Mother’s Day!

Becoming a mom made me the best version of myself. My family is my reason why — the heart behind every late night, every balloon blown up, every little detail. 💕

When I first created Kid & Play, it was with moms in mind. Moms pour so much energy into making everything special, but I wanted to give them more time to create magic with their families instead of behind the scenes. Our mission has always been simple: let moms savor the celebration. Be present in the moment. Laugh with your kids. Snap the candid photos. Dance. Hug. Play.

To all the incredible moms out there — today, more than any other day, we celebrate you. Your love, your laughter, your late nights, your magical touches. You are the reason behind the joy, the sparkle, and the memories our kids will carry forever.

I’m also holding deep gratitude today for the women who shaped me — my mom, my grandmas, and my mother-in-law — whose love, strength, and creativity have inspired me in everything I do.

And if today feels heavy for any reason, please know I see you too. You’re not alone — and you’re held with extra tenderness in my heart today. 🤍

It was a beautiful day for a prom! And not just any prom! Pre-K Prom at The War Memorial! I was thrilled when I got the request to do a Photo Booth and a very prom style backdrop and even more thrilled that I could bring a handsome date! 🤩

This morning at the annual breakfast, I had the privilege and honor of winning first place for the 2025 Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce Excellence in Small Business Award. I have spent the last 12 or so hours trying to figure out how this post should go, and what I want to say because there is SO much to say. I still haven’t figured it all out so bear with me as I try! I have a lot of feelings about today and this win but the big one that comes through is OVERWHELMING GRATITUDE. I am so thankful for everyone who supported me this year: my family, especially my husband Jeff, who believed in me first when all this was just an idea; my clients who trusted me with such special moments in their life; all the friends I’ve met along the way; and this amazing community of awesome local businesses and nonprofits I got to collaborate with in the past year like to name just a few! The strong sense of community I found here in Grosse Pointe has always fueled me to contribute in any way I can, and is at the heart of why I started Kid & Play in the first place. Thank you so much to all of you out there who have played a part in helping get to where I am today. Every kind word, every moment I get to be a part of, every like, every follow, every call, every referral, every smile, every wave. It all matters and I am grateful for it all. I hope to contribute more this year and in the years to come! 🥰🥰🥰💕💕💕

I read We Were Dreamers by when it was just released and no joke, it was one of the best books I’d had the pleasure of reading in a long time. As I listened to him tell his story, I laughed and I cried but most of all, I found inspiration. There was one part that really struck me. I listened to it over and over until I had it all written down. It helped me take the leap into starting this company and I keep it in mind every day as I work to grow . Thank you to everyone who has helped me own my dream so far. I hope by sharing this, it will help someone else own theirs too. Go out there and DO.💕
“…it is one thing to have a dream, and another altogether to own it—boldly, fearlessly, in its entirety. Owning a dream, to me, consists of two key components: declaring it to the world, and taking action. When you put your dream out into the universe, you will attract those who dream the same thing and understand its struggles.
