Happy New Year! A new year brings new beginnings and new opportunities. I’m happy to announce my youngest daughter, Lisa LeGrand Witter, has opened a florist called LeGrand Weddings & Events By Lisa. She will be specializing in weddings and events of all sizes. Tomorrow will be two years since LeGrand the Florist was destroyed by fire, but the LeGrand tradition of flowers will continue in a different fashion. The Beginning It all started in 1958 with Mark LeGrand opening LeGrand the Florist at the age of 19 as the youngest licensed florist in Louisiana. For almost 60 years LeGrand the Florist was located at 537 Huey P. Long Avenue in Gretna, LA and served generations with beautiful and artfully arranged....
