Happy 10th Anniversary to Ross and Mary Ann Hedges!
10 years ago I met this sweet couple at a park in Plainfield as they just wanted to elope privately, and focus on each other.

They were beyond in love, so gracious and kind and they absolutely ran away with heart.

I cannot believe it’s been a decade but I love Facebook for this reason. To step back in time and smile at memories like this.

A few people have asked how Indy Wedding Collective came to be, so here’s the story.

A few years ago, Charrie Stambaugh of Photog Boss LLC and I realized we shared the same goal. We wanted couples to have access to an experienced, professional team that truly works together from start to finish.

That’s why we created Indy Wedding Collective.

By combining wedding planning, coordination, officiant services, and photography into one collaborative team, our couples get more than just vendors. They get a support system. A group of professionals who communicate, work together, and genuinely care about making the wedding day run smoothly.

The best weddings happen when everyone is on the same page, and that’s exactly what we strive to provide.

Need a planner? Coordinator? Officiant? Photographer? DJ? Hair and makeup team? Florist? We’ve built relationships with some of the most talented wedding professionals in Indiana and we’re happy to help connect you with the right people for your day.

Wedding planning doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Our goal is simple: make the process easier, less stressful, and a whole lot more fun.

Indy Wedding Collective was founded by Charrie Stambaugh - The Photog Boss and Weddings By Bretta with one simple goal: make wedding planning easier by bringing together trusted professionals who truly work well together.

We’re more than a wedding planning company.

We’re a collaborative team that offers photography, planning, coordination, officiating, timeline assistance, vendor guidance, and access to some of Central Indiana’s most talented wedding professionals.

After years of working hundreds of weddings, we’ve built relationships with vendors we know, trust, and confidently recommend. Through Indy Wedding Collective, couples gain access to a carefully curated network of photographers, videographers, DJs, florists, beauty professionals, caterers, rental companies, and more. Because we’ve worked alongside these teams for years, we know how they communicate, how they serve clients, and how they perform when the wedding day arrives.

One of the biggest benefits for couples is our bundled service options. By partnering with trusted professionals, we’re often able to create customized packages and exclusive pricing opportunities that make planning simpler and more affordable.

But our mission extends beyond individual weddings.

Indy Wedding Collective is also dedicated to strengthening and supporting the wedding industry throughout Central Indiana. We produce wedding showcases, networking opportunities, educational events, and community experiences that connect engaged couples with exceptional local vendors.

Most recently, we’re proud to be the creators of the Old Town Greenwood “I Do” Tour presented by Indy Wedding Collective a one-of-a-kind wedding experience designed to help couples meet dozens of trusted wedding professionals while exploring some of Greenwood’s most beautiful venues.

Couple Spotlight! Meet April and Aaron! ❤️

These two met through mutual friends, got engaged in beautiful Brown County, and share their home with their German Shepherd, Maverick, who I'm pretty sure believes he's the real star of this story.

Their first date? Buffalo Wild Wings followed by a Target run. Honestly, if you can survive a Target trip together and still want a second date, that's a pretty solid sign. 😂

Aaron was the first to say "I love you," and one of the things he loves most about April is how selfless she is, what an incredible mom she is, and of course, her laugh.

April says Aaron treats her like a queen, is the best dad any kid could ask for, and keeps her laughing on a daily basis. A quality husband and a built in comedian? That's a pretty good combo.

They love bowling, dream of visiting Rome someday, and when it comes to their wedding day, they're especially excited about two very important things... the food and the cake. Priorities. 🍰 This is a couple after my own heart!

We are so excited that April and Aaron chose Weddings by Bretta to help coordinate their wedding day at the The Sycamore at Mallow Run and can't wait to celebrate with them!

What I loved most about this reception wasn’t the gorgeous venue, the incredible food, or the beautiful details. It was watching a blended family that clearly loves, respects, and supports one another. You could feel it in every conversation, every laugh, and every hug.

And let’s talk about this venue for a second. 24 Shelby is absolutely stunning. The industrial brick, the natural light, the floor to ceiling drapery, the gorgeous getting ready suites with lighted makeup vanities, and that impressive bar create the perfect backdrop for a wedding, reception, or special event.

Guests enjoyed amazing food from City BBQ and desserts from Marsha’s Specialty Desserts, and a fantastic vegan bakery Yes It’s really Vegan Bakery, that had everyone going back for seconds.

A huge shoutout to Charrie Stambaugh with Photog Boss for capturing all the fun!

Congratulations again, Jim and Sara. Vegas may have been where you got married, but Indianapolis was where the party happened. ❤️
