Flowers = Love

My love affair with flowers began when I was quite young, helping my grandmother in her garden. Over the years, through many and varied jobs, that love persisted. Eleven years ago when the opportunity came to open my own flower shop, I took it.

North Country Flowers is a total service florist, from everyday flowers to special wedding days, new babies, and final loving tributes. The perfect flowers for each occasion is not only learned, but instinctive. In addition to years in the garden, I have attended The Judith Blacklock Flower School in Knightsbridge, London, as well as course work at the Sussex Flower School in Surrey, England, and a course with Virginia designer, Holly Chappell, among others here at home.

For our brides, we offer a no-cost floral “tasting” two months before the wedding where the bride can preview select wedding flowers and make the final touches. Wedding couples get to try the food before the big day, we think they should be able to see the flowers too! Our philosophy is that planning should be relaxing, inspiring, and fun, and we do our best to make that happen.
